Bocas del Toro is a series of islands just across the border in Panama which has a very distinct and interesting culture and beautiful beaches and reefs.
These tours will let you immerse yourself in another nearby area such as Bocas del Toro in Panama or Tortuguero and are a great alternative if you don't have time to spend several days in the area.

We don't currently recommend visiting Bocas del Toro on a day trip from Puerto Viejo. While we have offered this option in the past and others continue to offer it, too much of the day is taken up by logistics to make this an enjoyable experience with the two border crossings and multiple types of transport. Instead, we recommend spending a few days in Bocas with a overnight Bocas package. | |
