Hi, I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this question, but I'm planning a trip to PV in January 2016 for my wife and I. We're wondering if there are any safe and cheap hotels in San Jose near the airport and the bus terminal (or convenient to both), since we'll probably need to spend the night there the day we arrive and the day we leave. We don't speak Spanish, so we're hoping for convenient and easy. We don't need fancy at all (just safe). Once in PV we plan to do a vacation rental (probably in Cocles). Thanks for any advice you can give.

We do have a recommended hotels in other parts of Costa Rica page so you may want to check that out. The San Jose hotels near the airport recommended are Adventure Inn, Robledal and Alta Hotel. English is totally fine, no Spanish needed at any of these. You might also consider booking a private transport from the airport to the coast that would connect with your later arriving or earlier departing flight.

Still trying to decide whether to take the bus or a shuttle but realized that rental cars are more affordable than I had initially thought they would be. Naturist/Nude Beaches
Hello I am a retired single str8 male that likes to tan/swim nude........ Are there beaches/accomodations that cater to the all over tan? please let me know. I am also seeking 3-6 month accomodations @ $250 to $500per month (max). Something on the quiet side of things and not beside a bar/club, 420 friendly ;)

We stay at Guanana Cabinas. Very nice owners, clean kitchen for all to use. No T.V's though. Look up on Trip advisor about it. It is right in town , 3 minute walk to beach and close to everything.

Caribbean Trip during last two weeks in December
My husband and I are planning a trip to the Caribbean during the last two weeks of December. We'd like something close to the beach, convenient to restaurants, mid price range. We'd like a good hot shower, clean, maybe a tv, and a kitchenette. Any ideas on where to stay?

I am looking for a place for 7 or 8 days in January 2011. What are your sheapest rates. I like AC? TV Lockbox with short walk to beach in Puerta Viejo or Manzanilla. In the future I would like to come for 2 months. What are your monthly rentals (cheap) Thanks Doug
